Our Story

Outdoor City is a San Francisco based apparel company with two goals: get people outside in comfy clothes, and give back to the planet.

After a weekend in the High Sierras with friends we thought, 'What's something fun we can do to give back?' and 'We really should have brought more comfortable clothing.' And so, Outdoor City was born.

Why Outdoor City?

We partner with the nonprofit One Tree Planted to plant trees all over the world. Every order helps get you outdoors in comfy gear and helps One Tree Planted plant another tree. This is our small way of giving back to nature & it helps offset our impact.

What are your products made from?

Our products are made from high-quality and sustainable materials sourced from ethical suppliers.
What countries do you ship to?

At the moment we can only ship to the United States. We're growing and looking to add Europe and Asia in the near future.
Do you really donate profits to plant trees?

Yes! A portion of our profits are donated directly to onetreeplanted.org. We provide proof of donation each month, you can take a look here.
Where is Outdoor City based?

We're based in San Francisco, California. Yes, it's really that foggy here. We wear hoodies all the time and are amazed we're able to get sunny pictures for our IG.
Do you have a physical store?

We sell exclusively on our website right now, but are always looking at available locations!
Why the name Outdoor City?

We love cities, but also love being outdoors so it felt accurate and concise. We thought about "Urban Apparel for People Who Also Enjoy Being Outside" but that website was taken.
How should I wash Outdoor City items?

With care! We recommend a wash on gentle setting & hang drying for our shirts, sweaters, hoodies & beanies, and spot washing our hats & bags as needed.
